Description: Based in Los Angeles, CA, ESCAPE has become the premiere Journey tribute band since its founding nearly a decade ago. The band was founded by vocalist John Koha (who sounds identical to Steve Perry)can also be heard on the MIRAMAX film A VIEW FROM THE TOP singing Journey's DONT STOP BELIEVIN.keyboard/guitar/vocal man Stu Simone, best known as the touring keyboardist for Poison in 1999 and 2000.Lead guitarist Jay Gore has been touring and recording with Hillary Duff in her 2003-2004 world tour and still finds time to play with Escape. Drummer Gary Ponder and bassist Clark Souter are two of the busiest rock players in LA. Clark toured with Journey opening act John Waite, watching Journey from the wings and chatting with Journey Bassist Ross Valory. Together, these five put on a powerful rock concert experience, just like Journey might have played in their prime (1980-83). ESCAPE was one of five featured tribute acts in the soon-to-be-released documentary Tribute. The band now has a large following (filling the 1,000-seat Hollywood and Anaheim House Of Blues in 2000, 2001 and 2003.), and can play up to three hours of Journey material. Look for up-coming shows in California, Florida, Las Vegas, Montana, Salt Lake City, Arizona ...
