Description: TO BOB are what we are called! a tribute TO BOB Dylan and his music, 5 guys having fun playing Bob's tunes and if we get paid for it as well more the better. TO BOB is well on the way to being a great success in the UK and plan to go on to Europe and maybe USA? There first live shows was at the London Astoria a venue where band’s expect to play when at the top of their career. Lucky for the bob’s Mick the bass player was the stage manager and the opening act was still on a plane with one hour to show time, so To Bob jumped in to open up for Wishbone ash. With in a few weeks it happed again, this time opening up for Iron butterfly and the crowd loved Dylan’s songs played the To Bob way. The third time we decided to record the show to catch the live vibe, and wow what a vibe! We never planed on marketing To Bob as Bob Dylan with the Stones as the Band, everybody and the Press kept on telling us that’s what we sounded like. With players like Darrell Bath ex (Dogs d’amour & many more) and Ronny Rocka (Godfathers Angelic Upstarts) making a great noise together with weaving guitars that would make Ron & Keith Jealous, with Mick English on Bass who looks & plays live Bill Wyman, and Dave from King Kurt on a basic drum kit so maybe we got the same backline as the Stones but we dont try and play like them it all depeneds on what mood the band in, every song sounds differant from the last gig. Until we played back the recording I would never believe how close TO BOB sounded to the Stones especially, “You’re a big Girl now”.* Back to this band, the main man our Bob (Dave Bob) as we call him, playing Acoustic guitar, typical Dylan Harmonica and off-course lead vocals singing all Bob Dylan’s great songs makes TO BOB the most enjoyable band we have ever played with, there is nothing better than playing music that you all band love and even more so when there an audience to play to. *If you would like to see and hear TO BOB live? Go to our site by clicking on the wwwtobob.co.uk and then to the sound & vision page click on song or video title. Don’t worry if you do not have the right media player in your browser you can up load it as a MP3 and play it on your player. TO BOB would love to tour the USA if there are any Agent's out there up for taking us out there? then give us a E-mail. ROCK ON TRIBUTERS!
